Assistant Cook

We are looking to hire a friendly Assistant Cook to assist in preparing meals and to serve our children. You will assist in preparing hot items for breakfast and lunch. Other food preparation duties include preparing fruit and vegetables and serving children swiftly and efficiently. The position may prepare foods for preschool children following the USDA/CACFP standards. 

As a minimum requirement, you must be 18 years of age.

Food preparation experience is preferred and be able to comply with any state food permit/health requirements. Experience in quantity food preparation and inventory control is preferred. Previous Head Start/Early Head Start experience preferred.  This is an entry-level position requiring no education qualifications unless there is a local or state regulation that requires a high school diploma or G.E.D. A high school diploma or G.E.D. is preferred.

Schedule: Full-Time, 40 Hours per Week, 40 Weeks Per Year
