Lead Teacher for Knoxville Center

Salary Range: $ 22.51- $ 23.54
Weeks per Year: 40
Hours Per Week: 40

Lead Teacher

Pay Rate: $1,800.80 to $1,883.20 Bi-Weekly, depending on qualifications.

Center Supervisor

This position is responsible for the general and day-to-day operations of a Head Start and/or Early Head Start center with more than one classroom assuring regulatory and legal compliance with federal, state and local regulations, communicating with parents and the community and supervision and monitoring of staff. The position also has responsibility for a group of children as the Teacher in the classroom. The position may be reassigned to various centers as deemed necessary for program operations. Receives content area supervision, training and technical assistance from content area managers/specialists/ coordinators.

As a minimum requirement, applicant must have a current CDA credential with at least two years of experience working with young children and families and the ability to meet the state requirement(s) for “site director”.  Associate degree or higher in early childhood education, child development, or other related education or human service degree with experience working with young children preferred. One-year supervisory experience preferred. Some experience in financial management and budgeting preferred. Previous Head Start/Early Head Start experience preferred.

Schedule: Full-Time, 40 Hours per Week, Monday – Friday, Weeks 40 Weeks per Year
