We know Head Start/ Early Head Start.

CDI HS’s staff members’ and organizational experience with Head Start/Early Head Start is vast.

  • Core staff has 10 to 45 years Head Start/ Early Head Start experience.
  • Core staff has experience in all levels of Head Start/Early Head Start service with migrant/seasonal, regional and tribal programs.
  • CDI HS has provided interim management services to over 151 programs since September 2000.
  • CDI HS staff is recognized nationally as experts in providing Head Start and Early Head Start T/TA services in the areas of administration and management, program governance, staff development, organizational effectiveness, early childhood education (0-5), Child Development Associate (CDA), family and community partnerships, health and related materials and multi-media resource development.

Previous positions in HS/EHS held by core staff members:

  1. Direct services: janitor, bus driver, teacher aid, teacher, family service worker
  2. Managerial: Early Head Start coordinator, facilities specialist, health/mental health/disabilities manager, family involvement coordinator, human resources manager, program director, executive director
  3. Training and technical assistance (T/TA): CDA advisor, QIC regional manager, QIC T/TA provider, fostering positive community child care partnerships
  4. National and state positions: Head Start Fellow focusing on Tribal initiatives; board member for NAEYC; president of state, regional and national Head Start associations; early childhood governors' staff;

Staff Honors

  • Nomination for ACF contractor of the year award.
  • Top 100 Employers in Denver, CO
  • National recognition for creation of a program in serving young Alaska Native and American Indian children.
  • National recognition for creation of an exemplary transportation manual.
  • DHHS Secretary's Award for Distinguished Service for Improving the Health and Safety of AIAN Head Start Children.
  • Service as an "expert consultant" to the U.S. General Accounting Office to develop a methodology for gathering meaningful information about Head Start for Congress.
