     EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

    Minimum requirements are a high school diploma or GED with two years direct experience working with purchasing, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.  Must possess a basic understanding of accounting systems and have at least one year of direct experience working with an accounting system general ledger and budget.     Assistant Teacher

    JOB TITLE: Assistant Teacher

    GENERAL SUMMARY:

    This position works as a part of a teaching team to work as a partner with the teacher/lead teacher in developing activities for preschool (Head Start) children to provide them with varied experiences and an appropriate learning environment. Works with typically developing children and children with disabilities. Assistance is given to the teacher in carrying out the goals, policies, and activities designed to implement educational objectives and performance standards. This position works with families to promote parent involvement in the program. In addition, this position might also serve as a Bus Monitor as part of the transportation services provided by the program. This position may be assigned additional duties based upon program need and areas of developing expertise. This position works along with the teacher/lead teacher to attain the goals of the program.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

    Minimum requirement is one of the following:

    1.     A current Child Development Associate (CDA) credential;

    2.     Be enrolled in a CDA credential program to be completed within two years of being hired into the position;

    3.     An associate or baccalaureate degree (in any area); or

    4.     Be enrolled in a program leading to an associate or baccalaureate degree.

    GENERAL SUMMARY

    Providing safe, healthy facilities that meets all local, state and federal regulations is crucial to the operation of a Head Start/Early Head Start program.  This position is responsible for overall management of the Head Start/Early Head Start facilities by ensuring that all buildings meet federal, state and local licensing requirements pertinent to type of use and that all required licenses are up to date.  In addition this position ensures that leases, contracts or agreements for all sites are current with appropriate signatures, oversees the maintenance and cleaning of buildings to ensure that they are clean, safe and in useable condition and works with outside contractors and service oriented businesses, as necessary.  

     EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

    A minimum of high school diploma or G.E.D. with two years related experience and demonstrated knowledge of general building maintenance and facilities management is required.  Knowledge of local health/safety regulations, ADA and OSHA requirements preferred.  Previous experience with lease management and contracting preferred.

    GENERAL SUMMARY

    This position serves as support to provide training and technical assistance for family and community engagement services. Works to support systems integration that support activities and design tools and systems for effective practice. Works closely with Program Service Manager and other specialists to communicate and coordinate ongoing issues and needs within the program and allocate resources and develop capacity to address critical priorities. This position supports the implementation of planning, administration, evaluation, related reporting functions and successful service area operations for the entire program in the assigned service area.  The position coordinates with other specialists in the content areas of nutrition, health (medical, dental, mental health), services to children with disabilities, parent, data management in accordance Head Start Program Performance Standards to provide quality services to children and families and to support the goals of the program.

     EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

     The minimum requirement is a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Social Work, Human Services, or Family Studies. One year supervisory/management experience preferred. Two years’ experience in case management preferred.

Experience working in administration of CACFP, nutrition and or food service arena and working with low-income clients preferred. Experience and knowledge of family-strengths/family-centered practice preferred.

    TITLE OF POSITION:    Center Administrative Assistant

    GENERAL SUMMARY:

    This position is responsible for the smooth operations of an office and other duties related to administration including answering phones, filing, etc. Performs all duties as required by the Program Director and/or immediate supervisor and other duties as assigned relating to the administrative component including, policy and procedure updates, typing, word processing, faxing, acting as receptionist and other clerical duties.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    Minimum requirements are a high school diploma or GED with some relevant experience in secretarial functions. AA degree or higher in related field preferred.  The individual must possess a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.  The position must have the ability to manage numerous tasks, possess good organizational skills, communicate effectively with co-workers and the public, and work collaboratively in a team environment. 

    Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish or English and other languages present in the local area). 

    Position is 40  hours per week, 48 weeks per year. Pay is $12.00 per hour.

    Disabilities/Mental Health Specialist

    JOB TITLE: Disabilities/Mental Health Specialist 

    GENERAL SUMMARY: 

    Disabilities/Mental Health areas are an integral part of the larger system of services provided. They play an important part in supporting the goals of the program. This position is responsible for the facilitation of Disabilities/Mental Health of the program.  The position is responsible for collaborating on the development and implementation of the program, tracking and recordkeeping, community relations and outreach.  The position could involve provision of direct services in the disabilities/mental health area if the individual is licensed, certified or registered as such in the state of service.  This position is responsible for ensuring disabilities/mental health procedures are performed only by licensed/certified professionals with expertise in serving young children and their families.  This position provides content area training and technical supervision to other agency staff and ensures disabilities/mental health services are supported by staff/consultants with training and experience in disabilities and mental health.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    The minimum requirement is a Bachelor’s degree or higher in one or more of the following areas:  Early Childhood Education or Early Intervention/Special Education.  Minimum of one year of supervisory experience required.

    Experience working in mental health services for young children and families and working with low-income clients preferred.  Experience or knowledge of family- strengths/family-centered practice preferred.

    Training in field(s) related to social, human or family services and experience in securing and individualizing needed services for children with disabilities preferred. 

    Position is 40 hours per week, 50 weeks per year. Pay is $23.80 - $26.00
